‌The standards for titanium profiles mainly include GB/T 41750-2022 and YS/T 886-2013. ‌‌

The GB/T 41750-2022 standard is applicable to the cutting and conventional rapid production of titanium profiles, covering a variety of products such as titanium rods, titanium wires, titanium plates, titanium foils, titanium tubes, titanium blocks, titanium rings, titanium cakes, titanium targets, titanium flanges, titanium special-shaped parts, titanium processed parts, 3D printed titanium rods, impeller titanium forgings, titanium fasteners, etc. This standard provides specific specifications for size, shape, weight and allowable deviation for the production and application of titanium profiles, ensuring the quality and consistency of the products.

The YS/T 886-2013 standard is applicable to pure titanium profiles produced by cold rolling for making eyeglass frame parts, providing detailed technical requirements and specifications for such specific applications. This standard ensures the performance and reliability of pure titanium profiles in the manufacture of eyeglass frames.

The formulation and implementation of these standards provide clear guidance and specifications for the production and application of titanium profiles, and promote the widespread application and development of titanium profiles in various fields. At the same time, these standards also ensure the consistency and reliability of product quality, and meet the requirements of different fields for the performance and safety of titanium profiles.

Performance characteristics of titanium alloys:

1. High strength: The density of titanium alloy is about 4.51 g/cm3, which is only 60% of ordinary steel, and its specific strength (strength/density) is much higher than other metal structural materials.

2. High thermal strength: At medium temperatures, titanium alloys can still maintain the required strength and can work for a long time at temperatures of 450 to 500 degrees Celsius.

3. Corrosion resistance: Titanium alloys show excellent corrosion resistance in humid atmosphere and seawater media, which is far better than stainless steel.

4. Low temperature performance: Titanium alloys can still maintain their mechanical properties at low and ultra-low temperatures, and are suitable as important low-temperature structural materials.

5. Chemical activity: Titanium alloy has strong chemical reactions with oxygen, nitrogen, water vapor, etc. in the atmosphere, but it is also easy to adhere to the friction surface.

6. Thermal conductivity and elasticity: Titanium alloy has low thermal conductivity and elastic modulus is about half of that of steel. Therefore, it has poor rigidity and is easy to deform. It is not suitable for making slender rods and thin-walled parts.
